The Engineering Services Examination is conducted by UPSC every year.

The advertisement for Engineering Services Examination is to be published on 25th Feb 2012.
The process of submission of application shall be started right after the advertisement
is published.
Generally a period of one month is provided for application submission.

The submission of application can be done by Online or Offline mode as per
applicant's suitability and choice.

The online application submission is done on http://www.upsconline.nic.in/

For offline application you will have to purchase the application form one of the listed
post offices. The list of post offices shall be published in advertisement of the exam.

The important instructions required for applying offline shall be available in advt.

Dear Aspirant

IES{Indian Engineering Service} Examination is conducted annually by UPSC{Union Public Service Commission} of India for recruitment of Engineering Graduates in Government service. Both male & female candidates apply for this exam.

You must have completed your Engg. Degree in any of the following Branch as mentioned below-

• Computer Science & Engineering
  
• Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
  
• Electrical Engineering
  
• Mechanical Engineering
  
• Civil Engineering

Pay scale offer to IES officer For Different posts:
----------------------------------------------------

junior Officers-> Rs. 8000-275-13500

Senior Officers-> Rs. 10650-325-15200

Junior Administrative Grade-> Rs. 12,750-375-16,500

Selection Grade-> Rs. 15,100-400-18,300

Additional Secretary-> Rs. 22400-525-24500



Eligibility conditions for IES Exam:

You must have completed your Engineering degree from UGC recognized university/institute.

Final year student is also eligible for this exam on provisional basis.

Your Age must be between 21-30 years on the first day of august of the year of examination.



Application Procedure for IES Exam{How to apply}:

There are Two ways to apply for IES exam->

• Offline
• Online

The Online application for cost was Rs 50 and Offline form cost was Rs 100.


Offline IES application

The application form is available in the Head Post offices of your city/town, So you can obtained form there.


Online IES application

You can apply for IES exam by using this link:http://upsconline.nic.in. Registration has two part as I & II. After completing Part I registration You can download challan form through which you can pay exam fee & complete part II registration.



Important Dates of IES exam 2012:

• The application forms will be available from 18/08/2012.
  
• You can apply for this exam till 26/03/2012
  
• The upcoming IES exam 2012, will be conducted from 01/12/2012.

IES Exam Selection Procedure:
---------------------------------

The selection for IES has 2- stage-

1) Written Exam:- Consist of 5 papers of 200 marks each.

2) Personality Interview: If you qualified in written test will be called for personal interview where their personality will be judged, the personality interview will be of 200 marks.

I.E.S stand for Indian Engineering Services.
I.E.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.


IMPORTANT DATES FOR I.E.S EXAM 2012
Date of notification:-18.08.2012
Last date of receipt of form:- 17.09.2012(MONDAY)
Date of Exam:- 01.12.2012 (SATURDAY)

How to apply:-

Candidates can apply in 2 ways . Either Online or Offline.

Details information to fill up the form is provided in the website.

FOR OFFLINE:-
--Candidates can purchase the application forms from the designated post office. The amount to be paid is Rs 50/-.
--Next step is to send the filled application from along with the acknowledgment card to the officer in charge.

How to fill the Form:-

--Candidates should buy the application form only from a post office. They should clearly fill in all the required columns.

--The 8 digit bar code number should be noted down separately by the candidate for future reference.

--They should not use a photo copy of the form, it will not be accepted.

--Candidates should not enclose copy of their certificates along with the form. They should send it only with the acknowledgment card.

--there are two parts of registration and the links are given
there fill in registration form part 1 first by filling in the
required details like your name address etc. after this you
will get a registration number,note the number.
--After this go to the second part fill in the registration
number received in part 1 and your date of birth.Follow
the instructions.And your form is filled.
