Dear pal,
Ies is the Indian engineering service exam conducted by upsc . It is further divided into five branches which includes
civil engineering,
mechanical engineering,
electrical and telecommunication,
electroics and communication.
The papers and the syllabus will be based on the above discipline . The age limit for the exam is maximum of 30 years and five year relaxation for bc,sc,st candidates.
As you have obtained your degree in computer science you are not eligible to appear for the exam. But you can write upsc exam through which you can apply for ias and ips post.

Indian engineering service

This examination is conducted by UPSC (UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION).
For appear in this exam you must have engineering in any one of theses stream,-
1.civil,
2.mechanical
3.electronics
4.electrical & communication engineering....

computer science student of B.TECH are not eligible for this exam.
the age limit for this exam is 21-30years for a general candidates.
there are 5 & 3 years of age relaxations are applicable for SC\ST & OBC candidate respectively.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IES EXAM

IES exam is conducted by UPSC in once time in year.

If you have completed engineering discipline in following departments then you are eligible for IES exam

1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.

The Notification was published in the month of January or February in Official website or employment news papers.

Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

If you are from different departments then also you are eligible but you should take one of the above departments as exam.

What is IES?

IES stands for Indian Engineering Service and is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Comission) .

Eligibility Criteria for IES exam

• AGE- 21 to 30 years as on 1st august of the year of exam.There has been an age relaxation upto 3 years for OBC candidate and 5 years for Sc/ST candidate.
  
• Educational Qualification - Engineering degree or equivalent degree from a recognized university.
  
• Fee : Rs 100

Computer science students are not allowed to appear directly but you can apply as ECE student and thus you will have to cover up the syllabus of ECE branch which is at least 68% similar to computer science .

Complete Information About IES Exams

In order to appear for the UPSC IES(Indian Engineering Service) exam..the candidates must fulfill the following details :-

1) You should be a B.Tech degree holder or in the final year of your B.Tech in any of the following streams

Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering
Electrical Engineering

2) You should be within the age limit of 21-30 years for general category,21-33 years for OBC and 21-35 years for SC/ST

The maximum number of attempts permitted for the general category is 4,for OBC its 7 and for SC/ST there is no limit..

I am really very sorry but since you don't belong to the four above mentioned streams..hence,you are not eligible for appearing in the IES exam..

IES is Indian Engineering Services Examination..

Through this exam which is conducted by the UPSC, you can get opportunities in the government recruited posts like in the railway dept., Central PWD dept., MIDC etc..
These posts will be given to you based upon your rankings..
BUT for your qualification I regret to say that you are not eligible to appear for this examination ..

Because you need a very in-depth knowledge of Mechanical/electrical/electronics/civil etc.. Since you are a CSE student you are ineligible..

I.E.S means Engineering Service examination and the examination was conducted by the Union Public Service Commission Once in a year.

I.E.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Qualification:- Pass engineering with following stream fron recginiced university:-

1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Age limit:-
For Open category:- 21-30 year
For OBC category:- 21-33 YEAR
For ST/SC category:- 21-37 year

The eligibily for IES is that :
The candiddate must complte B.E./Btech from a recognized university.
The candidate must be given from following enginweering streams:
Core branch :-
Mechanical
Elecrical
Civil
Also the candidate must choose another stream such as:-
Electronics.

AGE LIMIT :- The age of the candidate must be between 21-30 years...

there are 3 stages for this exam:-

1. Preliminary which is objective type.
2.Main Exam:- Which is subjective and written exam.
3. The candidate which passed Pre as well as Main written exam will be eligible for Interview....

The Post will be given according to the performance of all 3 exams...
