Dear pal,
Ies is the Indian engineering service exam conducted by upsc . It is further divided into five branches which includes civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical and telecommunication, electroics and communication. The papers and the syllabus will be based on the above discipline . The age limit for the exam is maximum of 30 years and five year relaxation for bc,sc,st candidates. As you have obtained your degree in computer science you are not eligible to appear for the exam. But you can write upsc exam through which you can apply for ias and ips post. |

Indian engineering service This examination is conducted by UPSC (UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION). For appear in this exam you must have engineering in any one of theses stream,- 1.civil, 2.mechanical 3.electronics 4.electrical & communication engineering.... computer science student of B.TECH are not eligible for this exam. the age limit for this exam is 21-30years for a general candidates. there are 5 & 3 years of age relaxations are applicable for SC\ST & OBC candidate respectively. IES is Indian Engineering Services Examination..
Through this exam which is conducted by the UPSC, you can get opportunities in the government recruited posts like in the railway dept., Central PWD dept., MIDC etc.. These posts will be given to you based upon your rankings.. BUT for your qualification I regret to say that you are not eligible to appear for this examination .. Because you need a very in-depth knowledge of Mechanical/electrical/electronics/civil etc.. Since you are a CSE student you are ineligible.. |

IES stands for Indian engineering service. This exam is conduted by UPSC. Only the below listed branchs can apply for IES civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical and telecommunication, electroics and communication. the syllabus will be from above subjects only... all the best |

Hai,
IES stands for Indian Engineering Service which is conducted by the UPSC once in every year. Eligibility criteria: The candidate should be complete graduation from any recognised university. Age limits is 21 years to 30years, 3years age relaxation for the OBC candidates and 5years age relaxation for the SC/ST candidates. Candidate should be a citizen of india. The Indian Engineering Services (IES) Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for recruitment to the IES, comprising of Group - A Services / Posts and Group - B Services / Posts in Categories I to IV.
Recruitment on the results of IES exam are done under the following categories: Category I – Civil Engineering Category II – Mechanical Engineering Category III – Electrical Engineering Category IV – Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering |
