i would like to know the details for UGC NET and JRF exam to be held on Dec 24 2011 and how to apply for it

You can apply for UGC-NET December-2011 examination by online application process.

The last date of submission of Online application is 25th October 2011.

The print out of the application has to be sent to the UGC office and

the last date of receipt of the printout of online application is 31st October 2011.

Before starting your application please go through the notification of the exam very carefully.

UGC conduct the NET exam for JRF and LECTURERSHIP every year.

Notification:-UGC NET exam held twice a year, in the months of June and
December. The notifications announce the June and December examinations are published in the months of March and September respectively in the Employment News and ugc website also.

To Apply:-you can apply online only on the UGC website-- www.ugc.ac.in.

Eligibility:- Post graduation in any subject with 55% from any
recognised university.

Age limit:- age limit for JRF is 28 and no upper age limit for lecturership.

NET (National Eligibility Test) is carried out by National Educational Testing Bureau of UGC to screen out best brains for teching and research field. This is held twice a year in the month of June & December. UGC NET-Dec, 2011 is scheduled to held on 24 Dec.

Eligibility Criteria

• Masters degree or equivalent with at least 55% ( 50% for SC/ST candidates).
• Those who have been awarded PhD degree & completed masters degree within 19th Sep, 1991 are eligible to get 5% relaxation in the minimum marks criteria
• For Junior Research Fellowship maximum permitted age is 28 years. However, reserved category candidates/candidates with prior experience of research/L.L.M degree holders are subject to age relaxation criteria.
• For lecturership there is no upper age limit.

Kindly note that online application has already started from 25 Sep, 2011. Printed application form must be reached UGC office within 25th Oct, 2011.
