Details of JRF and type of awards givens by UGC:

National Eligibility Test (NET) Examination is a national level entrance examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC). UGC Examination is basically conducted for the posts of,

>> Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)

and

>> Assistant Professor (Lectureship)

Both the awards are given by UGC and the kind of award given basically depends upon the performance of the candidates in all the three papers of NET Examination. You may find more details from the website given below.
