VAO stands for Village Administrative Officer. Tamil Nadu government conducts this exam to recruit the officers.

As of now there are about 1870 vacancies.

If you have SSLC certificate of its equivalent then you can apply for this post.

For general category age may vary from 21 to 30. However the upper age limit for the SC/ST category is 40.

To apply for this post you should be well versed in tamil language.

Exam Pattern: There will be two papers of total 300 marks and it is important to score minimum 90 marks to qualify. General knowledge questions will come along with questions from general english or tamil. All the questions will be of SSLC standard.

Recruitment Fee: As a recruitment fee you have to pay Rs. 125. For the reserved category the fee is Rs. 50.

VAO 2012 Notification:

Last date of form submission: 10.08.2012
Last date of payment of application fee: 14.08.2012
Exam Date: 30.09.2012 (10am-1pm)
