how to apply for vit-eee 2012 ..what is the eligibility criteria?...is vit a good engineering institute

VIT-EEE is very good private university for engineering.
VIT has published their form in the mid of the february and last date for the issue and receipt of the application form will be 10th march 2012.
So you can purchased the form from post office and nearest book stall.

The application for admission should be a resident/non resident indian national
Qualification Examination :
candidates appearing for the VIT2011 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2011 , in any one of the following qualification examinations :
- the final ecamination of 10+2 system of higher secondary examination conducted by state board
- intermediate or two year pre university examination conducated by a recognized board

Age limit:

candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st july 1989 are eligible to apply for vit.
The date of birth as recorded in the High School/SSC/Xth Certificate will be considered authentic.

VIT stands for Vellore Institute of Technology and is ofcourse a very good institute.

VITEEE 2012 Exam Date Announced. The entrance exam for B.Tech program will be held on 21st April 2012 (Saturday) from 2:30 pm to 5:00 PM. Detailed information will be available on the official website
www.vit.ac.in from the month of December.

VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology) is a new generation engg college and has very high standards and reputation. Please visit their website at http://www.vit.ac.in/.

The college has campuses at Vellore (about 4 hours by road from Chennai) and also in the outskirts of Chennai.

The Institute conducts its own entrance examination for admitting students to the UG studies. Currently, the registration process is on and goes upto 29th Feb. Candidates having secured 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology are eligible to apply. If you are appearing for the 10+2 exam also, you can apply.

The entrance exam will be conducted in 112 towns throughout the country and abroad on 21st April.

*Candidate must have complete the 12th class in science field having subjects like- Physics, chemistry and maths/Biology..
*A candidate who is appearing in 12th class board exam can also apply for the exam.
*Candidate must have secure 60% aggregate in Physics, chemistry and maths/biology..
For SC/ST candidates , the percentage relaxation is 10%..

1.candidates age should not be more than 22 years..
For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years..
