I am Raman a citizen of India currently studying in Australia (Advanced Diploma of Engineering ). I want to know about the qualification required to become an Astronaut. Is there any entrance test to become an Astronaut? If there is, then what is the name of that entrance test? Also, provide its syllabus?

For becoming Astronaut you need to be a citizen of India. If you are born and have a proof that you are citizen of India then you can become Astronaut.

The basic eligibility required for becoming Astronaut is to complete graduation level degree in related stream with minimum 65% from any recognized university. The minimum percentage may vary based on the post and research centres.

If you fulfil the eligibility requirements then you need to attend entrance exam conducted by ISRO & NASA. You need to visit their official website and check for the astronaut notifications and apply for the test and qualify the test in merit. So that you can become Astronaut.

Best way to be a astronaut
>> Candidate must complete graduation with good percentage in Aerospace engineering (preferred) or any other graduation in science and maths stream.
>> You need to further do post graduation and doctorate program in same field/ specialization as in graduation.
>> For joining ISRO, you need to further sit in Joint Entrance Exam which is conducted by IITs.
>> You need to work 3 to 5 years under a project as a trainee to be a astronaut.
>> You also need to complete 1000 hrs jet flight training and gain certificate.

>> It plays important role for completing your training program. If you are sick or have any disorder you will be rejected for further process.
>> Candidate must have good eyesight and no cornia disorder.
