How to become an IAS after passing 10th from ICSE School?


i have just given my 10th boards from an ICSE school and I aspire to become an IAS . Can you please suggest some ways to achieve my aim.

Selection of candidates to IAS is done by UPSC. Graduation in any subject is the basic qualification required. Candidate must have completed 21 years to apply. UPSC carry out prelims and mains exam to select candidates. You need to send applications through the portal of UPSC and participate in the selection process to join IAS.

IAS Exam i.e. Indian Administrative Exam
IAS officer you need to complete your studies i.e. after 10th complete 11th & 12th,then complete Graduation from a recognized university.
Minimum qualification required to appear for IAS exams is Graduation from a recognized university.

Eligibility criteria in Details:
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree of a recognized university

Age limit: 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs.

Number of Attempts:
Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs.
If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt.

How to apply:
•Apply online by using the website
http://www.upsconline.nic.in
•Apply offline by purchasing the application form from designated post offices throughout the country.

After passing 10th you that to pass 12th with any stream like:-
> Arts
> Commerce
> Science

After passing 12th you have to do graduation course like:-
> B.A
> B.Com
> B.Sc
> B.B.A
> B.C.A
> Law
> C.A
> B.Tech
> M.B.B.A
etc.

After passing graduation you are eligible to appear in I.A.S exam.

I.A.S exam is also called as civil Services exam.

For Civil services exam you have to know each and every thing about India.

After that some important topics like:-
> Indian Freedom Movement
> Indian Economy
> Indian Politics
> Indian Constitution
> Ancient India
> Modern India.
> Medieval India

For this you read newspaper/ General Knowledge Books.

You have just passed class 10th.

To become an IAS officer you have to appear in the UPSC Civil Services exams.



Minimum eligibilty to apply for the UPSC Civil Services exams is:

Education: Graduation pass in any stream from a recognized university
No minimum percentage of marks is required in Graduation

Age- Minimum 21 years
Maximum 30 years
OBC can apply till 33 years
SC/ST can apply till 35 years


Right now you should just concentrate on your studies of class 11th and 12th.
Try to score well in these class.

Only after that you have taken admission in the Graduation you can start preparing for the UPSC Civil services exams.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service and to become an IAS officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam, conducted by UPSC once every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National. The candidate should have either appeared for the final Graduation Degree exam or passed in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

Hence to become an IAS officer you have to completed Graduation in any stream after 10th.
