If your aim is to become IAS Officer then for this you have to cracked the UPSC Civil services examination. The examination was conducted by UPSC Comission every year and the Notification of the examination was Published in the Month of February every year.

>> But to apply for this examination you have to pursuing a Graduate degree course because graduation is the minimum eligibility criteria to apply for Civil services examination.

>> The examination was held in Two stages Preliminary and Mains, The Preliminary examination was also called CSAT Examination, and there are Two papers in this examination and Both are Objective.

>> After cracking the Preliminary examination candidates are eligible to sit in Main examination.

So, please complete your Graduation and then apply for UPSC Civil services examination to become IAS Officer. For this examination your age should between 21 to 30 years (For General candidates).

To become a I.A.S officer then you need to appear for civil service examination.The examination was conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year.

The Civil Service examination consist of Preliminary,Main and Interview.Those who qualify in the preliminary round are called for main examination.

To apply for this examination,you should have a graduate degree in any desire subject because graduation is the minimum qualification for Civil Service examination.

So,after completion of diploma you are not eligible because diploma is not equivalent graduation.

So,first complete your graduation then appear for Civil Service Examination.

For Civil Service examination,

Your age should be between 21 years and 30 years as on august 1st of the year of examination and upper age limit is applicable for SC/ST/OBC.

the people who have a graduate degree from a recognized university are the ones who are eligible for appearing in the Civil Service Exam (for IAS)..so until u don't do your graduation from a recognized college and get a degree..u can't appear for the exam

Diploma is not enough for civil services examination. I advice you to check the eligibility criteria for civil services examination.

As you are a diploma holder, you are not eligible for the civil services examination. I advice you to first complete your graduation to fulfill eligibility criteria and then think about civil services examination.

As you have mentioned that you are doing diploma now, then to appear in IAS exam you have to first complete the graduation in any trade..
So after completion of diploma , go for the graduation first..
And your age should be in between 21-30 years..
For SC/ST the age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the age relaxation is 3 years..
Then you can appear in IAS exam..
To crack the exam you must have a good general knowledge..
Get all the information regarding the Indian politics..
Try to stay in touch with the latest events , which are taken place in our country..

This things will help you to crack the exam..

Hello friend,
A diploma holder is not considered eligible for civil service exam. There is no restriction regarding the stream but you need to hod a bachelors degree to write the exam.
Once you earn a degree, in any stream and be within the age limit of 21-30 years, you may write civil service examination.

The examination is divided into three stages:
Civil service aptitude test, also known as preliminary exam
Main exam
Interview

You will have to qualify all the three stages with highest marks to get selected for Indian Administrative Service.

It is good to see your interest in becoming a IAS officer and for doing this you must write the IAS exam which is one of the UPSC exam.

UPSC is helding many exam and for as IAS is being one of the Civil service exam it is also been conducted by UPSC every year.

Being done your graduation in diploma in general nursing and midwifery,you cannot expect of writing the IAS exam,as the standard says that only candidates who have done thier degree from a recognized university are eligible to apply for the IAS exam.

If you are very much interested in doing it you better do your degree in any discipline and then apply for the exam as it would be valid.

For appearing for this exam the candidates must be a citizen of India and must have a age limit of 21-30 years and there are certain upper age limits for other categories.

SORRY to say that but, currently you are not eligible for appearing in this examination. because the minimum eligibility criteria for this exam is , you must to complete your graduation in any stream from any recognized collage. you can appear in this exam under the age limit of 21-30 years for a general candidates.also there is 5 years relaxation for SC\ST candidates.Now you cant apply for this examination because you have completed your Diploma and Diploma candidates are not eligible for UPSC civil services exam.

my brother in law also did diploma in nursing and he had experience of 7 years in government hospital and he appeared for mpsc exam and came 14th in maharashtra.thev how is it possible?

I have finished the diploma in general nursing. But i am interested the IAS, so,nowadays which degree needed for IAS.

If Degree course can complete via currous for IAS?
