IAS stands Indian Administration Service
IAS is a one of the civil service exam
This exam conducted once a year by UPSC

IAS Eligibility :

Candidates must be complete a Graduation from a recognized University
Candidates age limit between 21 o 30 years
age relaxation as per govt rules
3 years age relaxation for OBC Candidates
5 years age relaxation for SC/ST Candidates

The Candidates must be a Indian

Selection Process based on Preliminary exam , Main Exam , interview

General candidates attempts four times
OBC candidates attempts seven times
SC/ST candidates attempts no limit

how much i have to pay for the first premiliary exam, can you elaborate little bit. and one questions more, I've completed graduation by bcom.hons so which subject should i select or which subject would be better for me.

IAS Exam i.e. Indian Administrative Exam

It is under Civil Service Exam conducted once in a Year by UPSC.To become an IAS Officer One Needs to crack Civil Service Exam.
You need focused study of subjects. You should analyze the syllabus, and hard work is needed to crack this examination.

Minimum qualification required to appear for IAS exams is Graduation from a recognized university.


AGE limit:-
Age must be between 21 to 33 years for General category.
Age must be 21 to 35 for OBC category.
Age must be 21 to 35 for SC/ST category

You can become IAS officer after graduation degree. You have to apply IAS exam.

Your age should be between 21-30 years.

You must be citizen of India,.

Age relaxation;---

3 years age relaxation for OBC category
5 years age relaxation for SC/ST category
10 years for PH candidates

Number Of Attempts;-

4 times for General category Candidates

7 times for OBC candidates

No limit for SC/ST category
