AS i am an student of eng first year of brange CSE i have decided to study IAS. BUT i am helpless plzzzzzzzz...... guide me the methods and way to became IAS officer ,say me the books to study for IAS

It is good that you have come to a conclusion that you want to become IAS officer which is a great destination to enjoy your future career by serving the people.
In order to become IAS officer, one should have completed Graduation with any of the stream. As you are in the first year of Engineering course, you have to wait for 3 more years in order to apply for civil services exam. Here is the selection procedure to be placed in various civil services CSAT Exam(Civil Services Aptitude Test) Civil Services Main Exam Interview In CSAT exam, the questions will be from the following categories Numerical Ability General Awareness General English But in civil services Main Exam, you have to choose one optional subject and the exam will be purely on that subject only. Out of the list of optional subjects for Main Exam, the following will be good for you as you are from CSE background Mathematics Physics You can also choose the other optional subjects as per your interest. So, try to collect the syllabus for the optional subject that you have chosen and start preparation for civil services exam. Try to be perfect in all the aspects of written exam by the time you complete your Engineering course and crack the exam. You should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for the exam. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. Wish you all the best. |

IAS - Indian Administrative Service and to become an IAS officer, one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam, conducted by UPSC every year after Graduation.
The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate, can apply for IAS, Civil Service Exam. IAS means Indian Administrative Services and is basically meant for those aspiring candidates who have strong dedication towards the country. India holds a UPSC examination every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS officers are recruitment. Eligibility Criteria :- A.)Educational Qualification:- The minimum qualification required for appearing the competitive examination is Graduation. Many professionals like Engineers, Doctors, persons with Ph.d qualifications are competing for UPSC. B.)Age Factor:- 1.> For general category :- 21-30 years and can attempt 4 times. 2.>For SC/ST :- 21-35 years ,and there is no limitation . 3.> For the OBC:- 21-33 years and can attempt 7 times. Paper Pattern for IAS exam :- 1) General-Studies paper carries 150 marks 2) Optional paper carries 150 marks. Instead of one compulsory paper of General Studies and one Optional paper, both the papers shall be compulsory. |
