If you are a graduate, you may write Combined Defense Service Exam, conducted by Union Public Service Commission, in order to write Indian Military Academy. However, graduates from technical or non-technical background, willing to join Indian Army has to undergo training at this academy but once you qualify the Combined Defense Service Examination, you will be eligible to join Indian Army as an officer after completion of necessary training at the Indian Military Academy.
To be considered eligible for the exam, you must be a graduate within 19-24 years of age. This examination is conducted two times a year and for notifications, refer to the official website of Union Public Service Commission.

To join IMA, CDS is the best exam for you.
CDS stand for Combined Defence Academy this exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. this exam is only for Graduate candidate.

Eligibility For CDS exam is
candidate who are gradate are eligible For CDS exam.
For Air Force and Naval candidate should be graduate with subject maths and physics

Age of the candidate should be 19 to 25 year.
Candidate should be Indian
Male and Female both are eligible for this exam
Cadidate should be madically fit.

IMA stands for Indian Military Academy. It is good that you want to be placed in IMA and to serve the country.

Before this, check yourself whether you are having the required criteria to be placed in IMA or not.

Here it is,

Academic Qualification :
-You should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university.

Age criteria :
-The candidate should possess an age of 19-24 years.

Nationality :
-The nationality of the candidate should be India.

For this you have to get through following rounds of selection procedure
CDS Exam
Interview

You did not mention your highest level of academic qualification. If you possess the above mentioned criteria, I suggest you to have good preparation for this exam and crack it.
