Sir, I am completed graduation degree .I want to join in army . Please guide me how I enter in army.

You have two options to join the army. The first is through IMA and the other through OTA scheme. You can apply through the IMA scheme if your age is not above 24 years. You can apply through the OTA scheme if you are under 25 years. Both these exams are conducted by UPSC.

The recruitment process in Indian Army is carried out according to the vacancies incurring in Army. UPSC carries out various tests as part of their recruitment process. Those who pass the written test and the personal interview can expect jobs in Army. Initially, they may have to complete 1-3 years training. Those who successfully complete the training session will be absorbed in the Army. Practice the habit of reading newspapers to know the vacancies in Indian Army. Otherwise, frequently visit the official site of the same to know about the tests. In addition to the educational qualification, aspirants should be physically fit so as to join the Army.

CDSE is conducted by UPSC twice a year to select graduate students to ARMY,NAVY and AIR FORCE.The eligibility criteria for all three field is different.

Eligibility for CDSE::

Army ::You must be graduate in any stream .
Your age should be between 19 to 24 years.

OTA::You must be graduate from a recognized college.
Your age should be between 19 to 25 years.

NAVY::You must be graduate and you should have maths and physics as a compulsory subjects after class 12th
Your age should be between 19 to 23 years.

AIR FORCE::You must be graduate and you should have maths and physics as a compulsory subjects after class 12th
Your age should be between 19 to 23 years.

you can join the army through CDS exam.
It's minimum qualification required is bachelor degree with 60% from any university.
age limit 21-25 years.

firstly an entrance exam held & after that SSB inerview

SSB interview has many stages like :
1. aptitude test
2. Logical test
3. Picture perception
4. Group Task (physical)
5. GD
6. Conference

Ans:first of all there is no need of a particular height and there is a need of good physic, that is good chest and graduation qualification for joining in indian army.

You can apply for CDS exam conducted by upsc .Visit upsc.gov.in

You can sit for the exam provided you follow the eligibility norms:

** You must have completed your graduation in any stream.

** Final year candidates may also apply.

** Your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

There is age relaxation given for reserved categories.
SC/ST- 5 yrs
OBC- 3 yrs

Exam Pattern:
Preliminary Exam.
Main Exam
Interview

Physical Requirement:
Height – Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm
Chest – Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.

It is good that you are interested towards the Indian Forces.Basically after the bachelor degree course, you have to appear in the CDS entrance exam which is conducted by the UPSC every year.


The basic eligibility criteria for this exam for the Army wing is , to have a bachelor degree in any stream from a recognised university with good percentile.Also the appearing aspirant age must lie in between 19 years to 24 years to be completely eligible for this exam.

For joining the Indian army after the graduation degree , you have to give the CDS entrance exam.This exam is conducted by the Upsc every year twice.

The eligibility for this exam is to have a bachelor degree in any stream but from a recognised university for the Indian Army department. The students who wish to appear in this exam, their age must be above then 19 years and maximum 24 years. Their age must be lie between 19 years to 24 years.

After Graduation you can apply for CDS Exam.

CDSE is conducted by UPSC every year.

Eligibility Criteria for CDS Exam( for Indian Army) :

Candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Candidate must have passed Graduation degree from any recognized university.

Age is between 19 to 24 years.

If you are interested in Indian Army then CDS exam is best for you.
