I'm an MPhil(English Lit) in Global Open University, Nagaland. Can I do PhD in distance mode?

i want to do ph.d. in english ,ihave 47% marks in M.A. and i am M.Phil from vinayaka university from which university ican do Ph.D.

CAN I DO PH.D FROM TGOU NAGALAND? IS IT VALID?

Admission to PhD course is done through entrance exam follwed by interview. MA degree with minimum 55 % marks is the essential qualification for applying to the entrance exam. Having M.Phil degree is an advantage and relaxation of six months (1 semester) during the Ph.D course is generally given to the candidates who have done M.Phil degree. However, the candidate has to appear in the entrance exam / interview.
Second point, The Global Open University, Nagaland (office locacted at New Delhi) is not rocognised by UGC for awarding M.Phil degree (English Literature).
