Government Jobs

No No not for all but for a few Government Jobs of companies like ECIL,BHEL,and HAL will take weight-age according to GATE marks.

this is because to save a lot of time and money. as the GATE is also a top level examination conducted by eminent Institutes of India..
its significance is carried out to many other opportunities for young engineers.

For example take BHEL Engineer trainee posts.

in this selection procedure BHEL will take 75% of GATE marks weightage and only conducts a small interview type and a written test for remaining 25%

by appearing and scoring a good mark in GATE entrance will always be addup show off for your Resume..

so get good score in GATE entrance exam.

If you have good rank in gate exam ,then you have chance to get government jobs,
but you have also crack the written exam for particular job.

In many oil companies,there is need of gate scorecard as follows:
1.ONGC
2.OIL
3.IOCL
If you have good rank in ur gate exam then there is more chances to selected during interview phase.
