There are many government and government approved sectors in which you can apply. It will be better if you complete your masters in geology.
But, still if you want to go for it now you can apply in OIL & Gas Companies, Bureau of Land Management, State Geological Survey Department, Meteorological Department etc. You need to sit for written tests and then have to go through personal and group interviews.
