hi,

if you want to become an ACP then you will have to join IPS exam through UPSC. After step by step you can become an ACP. So that according to below criteria you can join IPS exam:-

Eligibility Criteria:-

1. Should be graduate from recognized university.
2. Age should be for General :- 21-30 yrs.
OBC :- 21-33 yrs.
SC/ST :- 21-35 yrs.
3. Should be citizen of India.
4. Male or Female both can apply.

ACP(Assistant Commissioner of Police),you can not join directly to that post,to become a successful ACP your back ground should be an IPS officer.

Necessary details are given below to become an IPS officer.

IPS(Indian Police Services)entrance examination is conducted by UPSC every year.

IPS Eligibility:-

1.Any graduate or a final year candidate from the recognized University can apply for IPS post.

2.Age:General:21-32 years, OBC:21-35 years, S/C S/T:21-37 years.

3.Must be a citizen of India.

4.Attempts:General: 06 attempts, OBC: 09 attempts. S/C S/T: Unlimited.

Finally you are to clear Preliminary/Mains exam./Interview.

Next by virtue of your skill/experience you will occupy the post ACP.

I would like to clear that there is no any process for direct recruitment for the post of ACP.
ACP stands for Assistant Commissioner of Police .
It is most valuable and responsible service postion in police department.

For becoming ACP one should require lots of experience and working during service of police department.

As you have to apply for IPS exam for getting into police department as a post of SP supritended of police after years of good working and promotions you can get to the position of ACP.

IPS exam is conducted by Upsc every year as eligibility criteria for this exam are as follows:

Candidate must attained the age of 21 years .
Candidate must passed or appeared graduate exam .
Candidate must be Indian citizen.
Candidate must be physically fit .
