I am sorry to say that after passing B.A you are not eligible for Indian Air Force.

Fir Indian Air Force you have to pass graduation with physics and maths.

If you want you can join Indian Army.

For joining India Army you have to qualify O.T.A exam.

O.T.A. exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

Eligibility criteria for O.T.A exam:-
> Pass graduation with any stream from recognized University.
> Age should be in between 19-25 year
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit (no major surgery)

There are three stages of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

Date Of Notification:-25.05.2013
Last date of submission of form:-24.06.2013 (MONDAY)
Date of exam:-08.09.2013 (SUNDAY)

I am happy to inform you that you are eligible for Indian Air Force after passing B.A from recognized university.

For joining IAF you have to qualify the entrance exam through Combine Defence Services.

C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

After qualifying this exam you will get commission in Army, Navy, Air Force.

Eligibility Criteria:-
> Pass graduation with any stream from recognized university.
> Age should be in between 19-24 year.
> Medically fit. If any major surgery is there you will be disqualified.

After passing B.A.(Bachelor of Arts) you are not eligible to join Indian Air Force of CDS as the minimum academic qualification for IAF is from Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

CDS - Combined Defence Service, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year for an entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy.

The eligible candidate aspiring for IAF must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics within the age of 19 to 23 years with good Physical and Mental Physique.

Being a candidate from Arts stream you are eligible to apply for Indian Military Academy and officer's Training Academy od CDS after Graduation.

If you are aspiring to join Indian Air Force then you should have to apply for NDA examination and for that you have to fulfill the following Qualification....

Eligibility and Criteria:

A candidate must have completed their 12th Science from Recognized board....

Only Unmarried Male can apply for it......

Age of candidate must be between 16 1/2 to 19 years....

A candidate must have a citizenship of INDIA....


Exam pattern:

1 Prelim Exam
2 Main exam
3 Personal interview and Physical Test

National Defence Academy has three wings,they are :-
Indian Army
Indian Navy
Indian Air Force
As said above that you are interested in Indian Air Force, then for your information,there are two type os posts available in Indian Air Force, they are :-
Group X - Technical posts
Group Y - Non Technical posts
The following are the posts comes under Group X :-
Electronics Fitter.
Electrical Fitter.
Mechanical System Fitter.
Structures Fitter.
Workshop Fitter (Mechanical).
Propulsion Fitter.
Workshop Fitter (Smith).
Weapon Fitter.
The minimum educational qualification requires for applying to the Group X Technical posts is just passed Intermediateor 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English / Three year Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics or Automobile or Computer Science or Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
The following are the posts that comes under Group Y :-
Automobile Technician
Indian Air Force (Police)
The minimum educational qualification requires for applying ot the Group Y Non-Technical posts is just passed out Intermediate / 10+2 or equivalent examination with Science, Arts and Commerce / Three year diploma in any stream.
Other then the above posts there are various posts available in IAS like

Pilots
Navigators
For applying to the above said posts a candidate has to passed out Graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate.
The following is the Physical fitness requires for applying to the above said Group X / Y posts :-
Chest : Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm
Weight : Proportionate to height and age.
Hearing : Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
Dental : Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.
Health : Candidate should be free from medical or surgical deformity. He should be free from all communicable diseases and skin ailments. Candidate must be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.

First of all, I would like to tell you that you have not informed about your educational qualification; I mean you have completed your B.A. or now, you are pursuing B.A. is not known to me.

Sorry, but you cannot appear for NDA examination for joining Air Force, because only male contendors can appear for this examination.

But, You need not to worry about your dream.

You can appear for CDS examination to fulfill your dream.

CDS examination is conducted every year by UPSC.

The eligibility criteria required for the CDS for Air Force examination are prescribed as below:-

* Completion of graduation in any discipline for Indian Navy and Air Force from any recognized college or university.

* Age limit:- 19-23 yrs for Air Force.

* Marital status:- Unmarried.

* Sex:- Both male and female.

* Physically and mentally fit.

* Nationality:- Indian.

You can apply for AFCAT Ground Duty Branch if you are a B.A Graduate and it will be your only option to join Air Force as Officer.

You are not eligible for Air Force through CDS Examination but you can definitely apply for CDS if you want to join Indian Army.

Educational Qualification for Ground Duty Branch AFCAT:

Graduation in any discipline with 60% marks in aggregate of all the subjects.

So if you have less than 60% marks in B.A then you can not apply for this branch.

Age Limit:

Age should be between 19 to 23 years if you want to join Air Force after B.A in Ground Duty Branch.

Selection Procedure:

You have to pass and written examination and SSB interview with good marks then only you will get selected. Medical examination will be done and if you are fit then only you can join Air Force.

No need of specific percentage restrictions to apply this exam.
