If you want to pursue Chartered Accountancy course after completion of your B.Com, you will have to,first of all, register and qualify the Common proficiency Test conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
The test is mandatory for every individual willing to pursue the course.
Once you qualify this test, you will be considered eligible for the Integrated Professional Competence Course-IPCC.
Candidates who have qualified higher secondary examination or graduation, are eligible to take the test irrespective of the marks secured in the qualifying exam but in order to qualify the Common Proficiency Test, one must score a minimum of 50% in the test.

First of all you have to crack the entrance exam Common Efficiency Test to become a CA student but in this CPT entrance test you need to score minimum of 50%marks.
So first prepare for the CPT entrance exam.

i am studying in S.Y.Bcom. i havent appeared for CPT exam bt can i directly appear for IPCC course or should i give the CPT exam first???

You can directly get admission in the IPCC Stage of the CA programme only if you meet the below eligibity:


The Commerce Graduates needs to score minimum aggregate of 55% marks in B.COM to get exemption from appearing in the CPT exams.

A candidates can get exemption from giving the CPT exams if he/she has studied atleast 3 papers from the below list of papers.
Accounting,
Auditing,
Mercantile Laws,
Corporate Laws,
Economics,
Management including Financial Management,
Taxation including Direct Tax Laws, Indirect Tax Laws etc.,
Costing,
Business Administration,
Management Accounting
