To join CBI you need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate preliminary Exam which is conducted by SSC (Staff selection commission)board every year.

To join CID or CBI, you have to attend SSC exam. You have not given any details about your educational qualifications. If you are a 12th class pass, you can get in to junior posts like constable. On the other hand, graduation is the required criterion to become officers in this department. If you pass written test, physical test and personal interview is the final selection process. Dear..
You can go directly as a post of Sub inspector in CBI. You have to appear for an exam of SSC CGLE which is a yearly exam and you have to get good marks if you want to qualify for the exam. The exam is generally held in two tier and both are of objective nature, Qualification :- 20-27 years of age with relaxation to reserved category. Indian citizenship Graduate with no minimum % requirement One you get a good rank then you have to appear for the interview and a medical exam and the after you can see yourself as a CBI officer. notification generally comes in the month of March Hope it will help Cheers...!!! |

CID Stands Criminal Investigation Department CID exam conducted by UPSC once a year CID have following different posts : CID Constable Sub Inspector Officer Level Post CID Constable Eligibility: Candidates must be complete 10+2 from a recognized university There is no percentage criteria Candidates age limit between 18 to 25 years The upper age relaxation as per govt rules Sub Inspector Eligibility : Candidates must be complete Graduation in any stream from a recognized University Candidates age limit between 20 to 25 years The upper age relaxation as per govt rules Officer Level Post Eligibility : Candidates must be complete Graduation in Criminology Candidates age limit between 20 to 25 years The upper age relaxation as per govt rules Candidates must be Indian Selection Process : Written Test Physical Test Interview |

Eligibility for the CBI or CID job posts : Educational Qualification: you should be passed the bachelor degree from any recognized university. Age limit: age must be between the 21 to 30 years. Age relaxation: 5 years age relaxation for the SC/ST . or 3 years for the OBC. Nationality: Indian citizen. Physical requirement : Height: For men: 163 cms. CBI-Central Bureau of Investigation. CID-Criminal Investigation Department. Details about CBI:- The one can complete degree from a recognised university. Percentage is not important to apply this exam. You must be an Indian origin. The age limits are 18 years to 27 years, 3 years upper age relaxation for OBC candidates, 5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidates. CID exam details:- CID have differant posts: CID constable, Sub-inspector, Officer level post. Sub-Inspector exam details:- Applicant should have to complete graduation or equivalent educational qualification from a recognised university. Applicant must be a citizen of India. The applicant age limit should be in between 20 to 25 years, Relaxation is provided as per the government rules. Constable exam details:- Candidate should be complete 12th standard from a recognised board. Percentage is not needed to apply this exam. You must be an Indian origin. Age limits are 18 years to 25 years, As per the government upper age relaxation is there. Officer Level Post Eligibility details:- The candidate must be complete Graduation in Criminology from a recognised university. Applicant should be an Indian citizen. The Full Form Of CBI is Central Bureau Of Investigation whereas the Full Form Of CID is Crime Investigation Department. To join the Crime Investigation Department , you need to pass the Combined Graduate Preliminary Examination. This Examination is conducted by the Staff Selection Of Communication. The Qualifications Required for Combined Graduate Preliminary Examination are : * The candidate must hold a Bachelors degree in any stream from any UGC recognized university. * If the candidate is in final year of graduation , then also he/she can also apply. * The age of the candidate must lie in between 21-27 years. * There is also a relaxation in upper age of 3 years for OBC Candidates and of 5 years for SC/ST candidates. The abbreviation of CBI is Central Bureau of Investigation. The abbreviation of CID is Crime/criminal Investigation department. Opponents will have to crack the Combined Graduate Preliminary Examination for joining CID.
