Nice your interest to join Indian Army in future.

You can join Indian by giving NDA entrance exam held twice in a year as NDAI & NDAII.

NDA stands for National defence Academy. NDA exam is conducted by UPSC.

`` Candidate having 12th or Equivalent passed certificate from recognized state board/university & have Age between 16.5 to 19 years can apply for NDA.

``Candidate must be Indian & Male(Unmarried).

Physical qualification for Indian Army

Hello,
Yes, you can join Indian army after diploma. After diploma You can join through N.D.A (National Defense Academy) , Soldier general duty, Soldier Clerk, Soldier trades man and Soldier general duty (All arms).

National Defense Academy (N.D.A) :
You can join N.D.A through the army wings . In army wings
>> Educational qualification: You have passed in12th examination from a recognized board.
>>Age: - Your age should be 16 1/2 years to 19 years.

Soldier General duty (All arms) :
>> Educational qualification: You have passed in 10th with 45% marks or you will passed in 12th.
>> Age: You age should be 17.5 to 21 years.

Soldier Clerk :
>> Educational qualification : You should have passed in 10+2 with minimum 50% marks and 40% in every subject in 10+2.

>> Age : Your age should be 17.5 to 23 years.

Soldier Trades man :
>> Educational qualification: You should have passed in 10th.
>> Age: Your age should be 17.5 to 23 years.

Being a diploma holder , you can only apply through NDA entry in to defense ,
Eligibility for NDA Entry are:-
Age :-16.5 - 19 years
Educational :- 60% aggregate in diploma recognized from university.

To join Indian Army you would have to pass National Defence Academy (NDA) exam which takes place twice a year.

The minimum education requirement is 12th Class to appear in NDA exam.

Since you have diploma in IT, you are eligible for the exam.

The other requirements are:

You should be Indian Citizen

Your age should be between 16.5 and 19

You should be unmarried Male.

There are 3 stages of the NDA Exam

1. Written Test
2. SSB Interview
3. Medical Examination

The physical requirements have been mentioned in the post above.

Other requirements include that your eye sight should be 6/6. Candidates who have fixed the number with the help of Lasik Surgery will be disqualified.

You also should not have any past record of Mental breakdown. This will be checked in the Medical Examination.

I am sorry to say that you can't join Indian army after passing diploma course.
If you want to join Indian Army then you have to pass graduation with any stream.

After passing graduation you have to qualify the C.D.S exam.

C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.
The age limit for C.D.S exam is 19-24 year for I.M.A.

And 19-25 year for O.T.A.

Both unmarried male and female candidate are eligible for this exam.
