I was passed diploma in electroncs but my age is above 23yrs now can i join indian army?

Nice to see that you are interested to apply for Indian Air force and definitely it is a possibility for you to Join Indian Air force just after completing Intermediate examination. If you have completed your Intermediate examination with Maths and Physics as a compulsory subjects, then you are eligible to apply for the UPSC NDA Examination.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy examination and conducted 2 times in a year. Eligible candidates may fill the application form online from the official website of UPSC.

This year Both NDA Examination was already completed and Next year NDA(I) Examination is going to be published soon in the month of December.

Only unmarried male candidates between the age of 16.5 to 19 years are eligible to apply for NDA Examination. Your age not more than 19 years at the time of commencement of Training.

The detailed age eligibility is properly mentioned in the official Notification, please check the notification before apply for the examination.

The selection is based on written test, the test is objective with negative marking and you have to cracked two papers, If you cracked the written test then you are eligible to appear for SSB interview.

You must be Medically and Physically fit in all the respect to apply for NDA, At the time of filling online application form, you have to give 1 preference to the Air force.

My friend the age is not as much of the issue as your qualification. Your only hope of joining Indian Army at this age is Combined Defence Services Examination. But unfortunately you are not meeting the qualification criteria to appear for the exam.



Combined Defence Services Examination or CDS is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for selection in Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy. Only candidates who have completed graduation can appear for the CDS exam. Unfortunately you have completed diploma which is not considered equal to graduation. Please check the eligibility below for more information.



Eligibility for CDS

1. Only candidates of Indian origin can apply.

2. The age limit for joining Indian Military Academy is 19-24 years.

3. Candidate should be unmarried to appear for CDS exam.

4. The educational requirement for Indian Army is graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university.



Examination Pattern

English 100 marks

General Knowledge 100 Marks

Elementary Mathematics 100 Marks




Therefore I am sorry to break the news to you that it is not possible for you to join Indian Army. I would suggest that you pick some other career option. The possible answer would be Engineering since you have already completed diploma course. You can apply for the B.Tech course through the lateral entry scheme.

Well dear as you have done diploma in electronics which is equivalent to intermediate so you can join defence by applying for nda exam.
Eligibility:
<>you must be a citizen of india.
<>you should have done 12th or equivalent from a recognised board.
<>your age should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

You can join Indian Army basically through two ways:- NDA or CDS

NDA/CDS - National Defence Academy/Combined Defence Service, the exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year to join Defence Forces according to qualification.

The eligible candidate wishing to join Indian Army through NDA, must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical Fitness.

The eligible candidate wishing to join Indian Army through CDS, must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final Graduation degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical and Mental health.

So if you have the above mentioned eligibility criteri, you can join Indian Army.

I complete diploma in instrumentation,age is 21 years old,i want to join indian army,is this possible?
