How to do LLB through correspondence? What is the admission process for LLB from IGNOU

I am sorry but you can not do LLB through correspondence. Even if you are CRPF personnel, it is not possible to do so. The LLB course is only offered through regular mode and not correspondence.

Even IGNOU can not offer this course. The correspondence course offered is not LLB and therefore holds no value.

As far as the Bar Council of India is concerned, it only recognize the LLB course that has been completed through regular mode. Any of the correspondence course is not valid therefore such degree holder is not allowed to practice in the court.

There will be no benefit of pursuing the correspondence degree. If you want to become Lawyer then I am afraid you will have to quit CRPF. It is only way you can achieve this goal.

If you plans to do so, please ensure that you are meeting the criteria mentioned below before applying for the course.


Eligibility Criteria

1. You must have completed a graduation degree like BA, B.Com, B.Tech etc.

2. You should have secure at least 45 percent marks in it.

3. SC/ST should have 40 percent marks.

4. The upper age limit is 30 years to apply.

5. SC/ST candidates are given 5 years relaxation.

6. There is no relaxation for OBC candidates.
