If you want to become lawyer then do not apply for law course through correspondence. Because those who have completed law degree through correspondence are not allowed to practice in the court as a lawyer.


Instead I would say that you should apply for regular LLB course. That is the right way forward. The correspondence is not recognized by Bar Council of India. That means you can not make a career as lawyer.


There are various universities that offer correspondence degree for LLB, but none of them is recognized. So what is the point of pursuing them. If you have completed the graduation then you should apply for the 3 years LLB course.


However if you have completed 12th recently, then apply for BA LLB which is 5 years course that includes a bachelor course. But do remember that the age limit to apply for BA LLB is only 20 years.



LLB Eligibility

1. A bachelor degree in any stream from a recognized college.

2. At least 45 percent marks in graduation.

3. SC/ST need 40 percent marks.

4. Age limit is 30 years for LLB course.

5. There is 5 years relaxation in the age limit for SC/ST.
