Having completed Bachelor of Technology program, you may pursue 2-year Marine Engineering course, instead of the four year program, provided you have qualified the B.tech final Year program with a minimum of 50% marks.
Apart from that, you must have pursued the B.tech program in any of the following disciplines:
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Marine Engineering
  • Naval Architecture
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electronics Engineering

The 2-year Marine Engineering course is offered by the following institutes:

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Govt. Polytechniques-Andaman & Nicobar
Vel’s Academy of Maritime Education and Training-Chennai
Institute of Maritime Studies-Goa
