Nata
NATIONAL APTITUDE TEST IN ARCHITECTURE has two parts one is drawing and other is aptitude. It is fully based on architecture requirements and drawing skills are very much required to score well. The colleges which accept the results are Cept (Centre for Environmental Planning & Technology University ) School of Planning & Architecture Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNA&FAU),hyderabad College of Architecture Vastu Kala Academy ,New delhi Goa College of Architecture M. S. University of Baroda Sushant School of Art & Architecture ,gurgaon Manipal Institute of Technology , manipal Rizvi College of Architecture , mumbai Aayojan School of Architecture Importance : This is a Very important exam as most of the colleges accept this results some of them are the best.but there is no fixed method to get seat in the colleges. All the colleges have their own procedure for applying.Plenty of seats are available but very few seats of the best colleges. The procedure for admission is little lengthy as we need to apply and then wait for their results. Eligibility and Procedure : Students can apply from any of the various test centers situated all over india.information of all test centers and other details can be found on their website www.nata.in for test center details click here for all colleges under coa click here pass marks is 80 out of 200 but need to score atleast 120 to get good colleges and have to score well in 12 boards as 50% of both are taken and calculated and results are given on this basis. Study Method : All questions till date show very conceptual drawing based questions specially concentrating on perception and proportion. Total marks 200 100 marks for drawing 100 marks for aptitude 3 questions are given for drawing example : 1. Imagine that your size has been reduced significantly and you are standing in a pencil box that has three pencils, one sharpener, and one compass, one small piece of paper, one eraser and one fountain pen. Draw what you would see standing inside the pencil box with the lid of the box open. (50 marks) 2. Draw a visually appealing composition using the five given shapes and colour it using four colours. You can use any shape more than once. However each shape has to be used at least once. (25 marks) 3.
