hello.... m doing ma btech in mechanical(3rd year) from punjabi university,patiala.. i am confused of what after graduation.. mba or mtech ? If mtech then which speciliasation... reply soon.. ehat are the scope in mtech.. i dont want to end up teaching..so please help by your suggestion

MBA : Masters in Business Administration

M.Tech: Masters in Technology

Both are Master degrees in two important fields one in technology and the other in Business

->Both are equally important for the development of country.
->Both are very highly regarded in the society

coming to your career if you select MBA or M.tech after your Bachelors
then your job opportunities are more than a student with just bachelors degree

For that reason most of the students do their M.tech or M.B.A after their bachelors and some do for their pleasure

And mainly doing masters will also fetch for research work ,research which is key for the development of the field can be done with masters only.

so selecting Masters degree in Business or Technology depends on your interest

if you have a good core subject knowledge of your bachelors in engineering then go with M.tech
or if you are exceptionally interested with your core subjects don't miss an opportunity for the country to give a precious diamond.

if you are very much attracted to business then it will be good option for your career and also for your job prospectus

MBA jobs pay higher to you than M.tech Jobs coming to salary issue.. this is because of High risk in MBA thank in M.Tech .

Before taking a decision between MBA or M.Tech think twice.

if you want to freshly start the syllabus for GATE Entrance exam then it is not good idea for doing M.Tech because.. you can't get good rank which gets you seat in IIT's if you do your preparation from now. There should be pre planned action preparation for GATE Entrance exam.

Even the same hard work has to be done for MBA too but .. Preparing for CAT Seems bit interesting than preparing for GATE Entrance exam.

First you select a Masters course then think about Specializations in that

After completion of B.tech in mechanical stream,I think you should go for M.tech..

It will help you to gather more knowledge in your field.. Also you will get specialize in your field.. After that you can get a job in a better designation with a higher salary..

Two things i can say to you is that ...

1.If you want for higher studies and and want to become a professor or lecturar or scientist then choose M.Tech..But one thing you have to remember that after M.Tech. you can also get job.

2.If you want to shine in IT industry then choose MBA.

So my suggestion to you is that first pursue your M.Tech degree and then go for MBA and then you will get job in different company.

After completion of B.tech in mechanical stream,I think you should go for M.tech. because MBA is for Management Stream,and you are from technical then you go for m.tech

after urs btech in mech engg,,u better go for an mtech...mba will not be nice for u as such

what is the best institute for mtech preparation for iit

I am presenty working in wartsila power plant. I am interested to enter teaching field .i don hav time to do regular
mtech. Can I do mtech corespondance and enter teaching field? will it be counted to enter teaching field?
