dear friend,

yes , b-tech are eligible for PHD course . but you must have valid GATE score other wise you are not eligible for PHD course.

only M-TECH candidate are applicable without any exam score.

also you are eligible for JRF .so if you have not valid GATE score then you can apply for JRF course.

also you are eligible for MS course.

thanks

hi..if you are interested in doing an phd from the best colleges in the country which are the indian institutes of technologies then you have to complete your mtech degree first before doing the phd course ,the duretion of the mtech degree is of two years and you ahve to clear the gate exam to get admission in the mtech course in any college in the country ,
so if you are intrested in doing an phd then decide the subject in which you want to do phd and then take the mtech course accordingly which will really help you in your phd because having the basics of any thing really helps and you will have that basics of the subjects of your interest for the phd during the mtech course ,
the gate exam for the mtech admission admission is held in the month of february and the notification is released around september and december

Dear friend,

a person can Ph.D. only if he holds a master's degree. Since you have done B. Tech., you should firstly do M. Tech. and then you can do Ph.D.
