Frankly speaking nothing is difficult or hard to achieve in this world, it is our perception towards anything that makes it hard to achieve. Do not rely on suggestion of others, if you have strong determination, dedication towards your goal and you are ready to work hard, none can stop you from getting what you want.

There is a proverb that nothing is impossible in this world, it is only you who can stop yourself from getting to your desired position.

Indian Engineering Services exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year.

Any candidate who has done bachelor's degree in engineering or technology is eligible to appear for this exam. Final year candidates can also apply for the exam. But you have to give exam only in four streams of engineering:

>>Mechanical Engineering.

>>Civil Engineering.

>>Electrical Engineering

>>Electronics and Telecommunication engineering.

The age limit is 21-30 years for candidates of general category and upper age relaxation applicable to candidates of reserved category.

Examination pattern:

1. General ability test

2. Objective papers I and II.

3. Subjective papers I and II.

4. Personality test.

See, in order to crack this exam, you must have good crystal clear concept of your core subjects of engineering. If you have studied well in your bachelor of engineering, you can apply for the exam but if you have not studied well, you need to prepare for at least one year by self study or by joining institutes like MADE EASY well known for preparation of this exam.

GATE is the Graduate Aptitude test in Engineering. If you are interested in working in PSUs like NTPC, BHEL, SAIL etc, you can appear for this exam but it also requires hard work and practice on your subjects of engineering.

It is an objective test of 100 marks consisting of 65 questions.

There is no number of attempts in both this exam, so you I would suggest you to appear for both exams, see your performance, if you are not able to get good marks, prepare for the exam and then again appear in next year.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
