The Cambridge Trusts administer many schemes of awards for overseas applicants from specific countries,including India.They also offer Rajiv Gandhi Travelling Scholarships to the University of Cambridge students wishing to visit India.

MSc Petroleum Geoscience Scholarship

CASP is a not-for-profit charitable trust carrying out field, literature and analysis-based geological research in prospective hydrocarbon basins. Based in Cambridge, the organisation originated as the Cambridge Arctic Shelf Programme. Since incorporation in 1988 with charitable status CASP has greatly increased its scope, diversifying to new methods of data presentation and areas of research to include Siberia, the Black Sea, parts of North Africa and the Middle East.

As part of its support for geoscience research and education, CASP is inviting applications from students for a scholarship to study for a Masters Degree in Petroleum Geoscience at a UK University. The scholarship will be available to UK/EU applicants with 1st/2.1 BSc degrees and will pay the relevant fees at the HEU rate, a stipend of £13,000 and a contribution towards the costs of undertaking a fieldwork-based project as part of the taught MSc Programme. Field-based research into sedimentary basins is at the core of CASP activities and hence support for a project which centres on fieldwork forms part of this scholarship package. Applicants are required to propose their own research project. The scope and character of the project may be modified in consultation with the programme director if successful.
