There are 3way of joining the Indian army
1. TGC - technicle graduate certificate. In this entry candidate are selected for San based on there aggregate in the 6th semester. There isn't a cutoff for the scheme and merit list is also drawn on every year based on the no of applications received and deciding the cut off lies at the discretion if army headquater.
2. SSC(tech) short service commission technicle entry
It follows same procedure as the above but the cut off here is higher.
3. CDS combine defence service. This entry compromise of a written exam and an ssb(subject of clearing of the written exam.
