Hello friend,
Having done your BCom, you will have to qualify the common proficiency test conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Once you qualify the test, you will be eligible to enroll for IPCC, which will be followed by the Final Course.
The course also includes 3 1/2 years of articled training,100 Hours of Information Technology training and General Management and Communication Skills course.

To apply for the Common Proficiency Test, you may contact your nearest regional office of Institute of Chartered Accountant of India or may log on to the official website of ICAI.

C.A or Chartered Accountancy is a professional course organised and certified by the ICAI.

This exam is open to students from 12th and above.

The Course is broken into three phases - Foundation, Intermediate, Final

Since you have already completed your graduation with Commerce, you dont need to appear for the foundation programme or CPT(Common Proficiency Test)

You will have to join and register for IPCC which is the Intermediate course.

YES, you are eligible to apply in IPCC level of Chartered Accountancy
course as you have score above 55% in your B.com .

Commerce Students who score more than or equal to 55% are exempt
of CPT level of Chartered Accountancy.


There are three stages in CA

Common Proficiency Test(CPT)
IPCC ( 2 GROUPS)
Final examination

you have to clear IPCC (group I) only after clearing IPCC (Group First)
you will be eligible for any articleship provided by ICAI.
