You can join INDIAN ARMY after completing your graduation
UPSC conducts exam of CDS. BA candidates can also apply
ELIGIBILITY

• IMA-Graduation from a recognised university

• NAVY-you are not eligible

since it requires a degree in ENGINEERING or BSC ie. physics+maths

• AIR FORCE-same as navy

You can join Indian Army as an officer after the completion of your graduation through Combined defence service examination. This examination is conducted by the Union public service commission twice in a year. To apply for this examination you need the following eligibility criteria:

Education Qualification
For the Combined defence service examination a candidate should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university. Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible to apply for this examination.
Candidate applying for the Indian Air force and Navy should have physics and maths at 10+2 level.

Age Limit
Indian Military Academy 19-24 Years

Air Force Academy 19-23 Years

Naval Academy 19-22 Years

Officers’ Training Academy 19-25 Years

cds is th exam conducted by upsc at graduation level
after compliting cds u r gong to a personal interview
there r also a special entry for ncc cadet they want atleast B grade in C certificate of army
all these r officers entry if u want to joim as a cadet thn only requirement is 12th

Indian army is the top most priority now a days among the youth of India. The army is a well known and reputed branch of the Indian defence services. Each year millions of young Indians try their level best to enter the army to serve their motherland.

To get entry in to Indan defence or the army after the Graduation you have to appear in a very famous national level exam called as the "Combined Defence Services Exam".

The exam is open for all the graduates in any discipline to enter in to the Indian defence Academies namely:
*Indian Military Academy: To be eligible for that you have to be a graduate in any discipline with an age of 19 to 24 years. You have to be a male unmarried candidate for the same too.
*Indian Airforce and Naval Academy: To be eligible for that you have to be a graduate in any stream of engineering with an age of 19 to 23 years. You have to be a male unmarried candidate for the same too.
*Indian Officers Training Academy(Men and women):To be eligible for that you have to be a graduate in any discipline with an age of 19 to 24 years. You have to be a male unmarried candidate for the same too for the men category and a female unmarried or non remarried widow candidate for the females category.


The exam pattern is based on:
*Written exam
*personal interview
*Medical examination

The tentative dates for the exam are as follows:
Date of notice:October November
Deadline:November
Date of exam: February next year

Since you are a graduate in arts so you can apply for the army or the Indian Military academy and the Officers Training Academy.

You have completed BA so you are eligible for CDSE and NCC SPECIAL ENTRY exam.

Those candidate are completed graduation are eligible for CDSE exam but 12 standard subject must be Math and Physics.

B-TECH ans BE student are also eligible for this exam .But you have not any Pending Backlog.

Final Year student are also eligible for CDSE exam.There is no percentage marks criteria.

AGE CRITERIA

Indian Military Academy - 19-24 Years

Officer's Training Academy - 19-25 Years

You can join Indian army through only NCC SPECIAL ENTRY SCHEME.

So you can apply Indian Army through SSC exam.Unmarried male and female both are eligible for this exam.

Those candidate have completed graduation degree with above 50% marks are eligible for SSC exam.you must have citizenship of India.

Your age should be in between 19 to 25 years .

The criteria of NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders to appear directly for SSB for Short Service Course (Non Technical).

THE CHART OF HEIGHT AND WEIGHT FOR SSB:-

Height/weight for Army/Air force.



Height/weight for Navy

For joining Indian Army after BA course you have to appear in the CDS exam.

CDS is a Combined Defense Service examination conducted by UPSC twice in a year.
So, a student who is a graduate from an recognized university can join Indian Army after passing CDS exam.

DEAR,

After BBA you may appear for CDS(COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE)exam to join Indian Army.

C.D.S is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

If you want join in Indian Army through NDA, CDA and UES.These Exams are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

There is age relaxation for SC/ ST/OBC category but NDA Exam there is relaxation for age.
To apply this examinations the candidate must have to complete 12th or graduation from a recognized university.

You are eligible for Indian Army only and you are not eligible for Indian Navy & Indian Air Force because you don’t have physics and maths.

National Defence Academy (NDA):

Age Limit: - 16.5 to 19 years.

Combined Defence Service (CDA) Examination:

Age Limit: - 19 to 23 years.

University Entry Scheme (UES) Examination:

Age Limit: - 18 to 28 years.
