Hello!

Nice to see your interest for Defence services. Well after Graduation you can join Indian Army as an Army Officer(Lieutenant, Major, Cornell etc..) Post.

Pay Scale:- Rs. 25,000/- to Rs. 65,000/-

After completing BCA if you want to join Indian Army then you have to appear in CDS Examination Conducted which is conducted by UPSC every year for Two times as CDS-I & CDS-II.

CDS:- Combined Defence Service
UPSC:- Union Public Service Commission


ELIGIBILITY for CDS EXAMINATION:

• You should have completed Graduation degree course in any specialization from recognized university.
  
• Final year candidate of such program are also eligible to apply for CDS Exam.
  
• For Indian Army, your AGe should be in between 19 to 24 years.
  
• You should be Unmarried, should be Male & citizen of India.

Indian Army can be joined through appearing CDS entrance exam after completion of Graduation in BCA.

CDS - COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

The candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 year with good Physical and mental health, is eligible to apply for Indian Military Academy of CDS.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal Interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

The Basic Criteria required to set yourself eligible for CDS exam are :

--> You must have completed your graduation in any stream with a minimum of 45% marks from any recognized college / university.

--> You must have chosen PCM as your key subjects in 12th.

--> You must have Indian Nationality.

--> You must be physically and mentally fit.

--> Your age must lie in between 18-28 years.

If you have done your Graduation then you can apply for CDS examination which is conducted by UPSC every year.

CDS exam is a Combined Defense Services Examination and you can apply if you have Graduation in any discipline for Indian Army.

The age required for Indian Army through CDS examination is 19 to 25 years. You can join Officers' Training Academy through CDS examination.

Selection Procedure:

There will be objective type paper which you have to pass with merit marks so that you are called for SSB Interview.

There will be medical examination also and if you are found unfit then you will not be allowed to join the academy.

You must start your preparation for this exam if you want to become an Officer in Indian Army.
