hello sir , i want to know that is there any place in merchant navy after mechanical diploma ? If yes , then what is the age require and percentage requirement ? I have done my 12th from NOUS board of delhi with 44 percent marks in arts. Is it possible for me to join merchant navy ? Please reply sir....

yes sure u can join merchant navy after diploma .
following is the eliglibilty :
1. u should have 50 % in diploma (Mech/ELE/ECE).
2. ur college should be approved by AICTE.
3. ur age should not be above 28 years.

there are 8 colleges in india approved by DG Shipping in india for the course of
marine enginering diploma .6 of them are in Chennai and each at Goa and Port blair.

the duration of course will be 2 years after the cousre u will appear for MEO class IV part A Exam then after that sea service of 6 months in which u will get a salary about 500$ -1000& per month.
after 6 months u can apply for MEO IV Part B exam and obtain a Class 4 COC.
then after wards u will get salary around 120000-150000 per month .
work hard during ur cousre and get handsomely paid.
