Under a single umbrella (which is NEET here) now most of the medical colleges have come. So instead of sitting for the 25 entrance exams every year students can devote all their time now to this single exam. This also means one syllabus and one exam pattern is there for everyone to follow. The minimum qualification required to sit for this exam is that you need to be a higher secondary passed out candidate and in addition to that you need to secure 50% of marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics taken together. There is some relaxation for the SC/ST candidates. They needs to get 45% of marks in physics, chemistry and biology put together. Unless and until you attain the age of 17 years you won't be allowed to sit for this examination. There is upper age limit relaxation for the reserved category candidates. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates there is 5 years age relaxation. Exam Pattern:- A total of 180 questions will be asked and from each subject therefore you will have to answer 45 questions. You will get three hours to complete the whole paper and negative marking is there so for each wrong answer 1/4th marks will get deducted. Questions will come from the following subjects:- -Physics -Chemisty -Biology -Zoology Please Note:- You need 50 percentile in NEET to qualify. Hope this helps :-> :-> |
