After setting up 6 new IITs, total seats at under graduate level is approx 9,000 (reservation is applicable).
Seats in older IITs are high. New IITs have capacity of 200-300 students per year. Older IITs have seats for 700-800 per year. Reservation of seats : OBC 27%, SC 15%, ST 7.5% Besides IITs, there are 20 NITs also, where total seats are about 15,000. |
