How to prepare for GATE Exam being a candidate of 3rd year B.E. with ENC branch? Date of upcoming GATE Exam?

M in 3rd yr..BE ENC branch..pls tell me how to prepare gate exam..whats the syllabus of ENC branch..and whats the next date of exam????

Dear candidate,
GATE exam will be conducted every year by any one of the IITs among 15 IITs. GATE-2012 exam will come 2nd Sunday of the February month. You should start preparation before 1 year ago and clear your concept regarding your subjects. You can use GK publication book to solve the question of GATE. This book also contain the previous year solved question papers. You must prepare for GATE exam before one month.

Hi,
You may write exam both in 3rd as well as 4th year.
I would recommend you to attempt for GATE in 3rd year only to get a gist of the pattern and how tough GATE would be.

There may be a possibility for you to improvise yourselves by 4th year and get a good score even if you fail to qualify in 3rd year.

But if you plan to appear in 4th year you may loose a precious time of one year if you cannot score at the first attempt.
