For the Group Discussion and Interview of SBI PO Exam, here are some key points that will certainly direct you towards your goal of becoming a Probationary Officer in SBI.

1. For Group Discussion, you are required to have good and efficient communication skills. Be positive and clear while you discuss and about what you discuss.
2. You need to have knowledge about the topic. So to be well-informed, read good newspapers, magazines. Keep yourself aware about your surroundings.
3. Build up critical thinking and analysis skills in you along with good decision making capabilities.
4. Maintain eye contact while speaking.
5. Try to start GD if you have excellent point to state about the topic. It is not at all compulsory to always initiate GD if you don’t have any information about the topic. It’s better to first gain idea about the topic from the points which other say.
6. Don’t interrupt while other member is speaking. Wait for your chance to speak if you have better point for it.
7. Listen silently to others.
8. Don’t sit dumb. Be open-minded and cheerful.
9. You need to be calm and polite with your team members.
10. Don’t deviate from conversation subject through the views put forward by you. If possible try to make discussion to concentrate on to the stated subject.

For the preparation of Interview, you are required to practice the above mentioned points. You need to be interactive. You must have an awareness about general banking terms, management skills, positive approach, and confidence that should come out with every word you speak in a cheerful manner. Don’t be nervous at all. Sit straight with hands on your knees. Answer in reasonable way. Try not to over-speak and overconfident. Maintain relevant to the questions in your answers.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
