State Bank of India is soon going to conduct an examination for the post of probationary officer (PO). This examination is one of the toughest bank examinations as compared to other exams. Now, an SBI PO examination is conducted by IBPS through Online Mode. But the pattern is different from IBPS PO examination. The SBI PO examination is tougher than IBPS PO and other banking exams.

SBI PO Exams are for those candidates who wish to make his career in the banking sector. SBI provides the high salary package with other facilities as compared to other banks, that's the reason SBI PO examination is more popular than other bank examination.

To apply for Upcoming SBI PO examination, you must have completed your graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. Your age should between 21 to 30 years, upper age relaxation is applicable for other reserved category candidates only. You must have a proficiency in computers to apply for SBI PO examination.

To crack SBI PO examination is not an easy task for everyone, hard work and regular practice is very necessary to crack this exam. Well the examination contains two individual papers. First one is objective with negative marking and another will be Descriptive.

The objective examination is same as IBPS PO examination, But the Quantitative aptitude section is not there in SBI PO examination. In SBI PO Examination you will get questions from Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency. The questions in DI will asked from Charts, Graphs and Diagrams including Line charts, pie charts, bar charts and tabular data. Application level questions from probability and statistics.

If you want to clear this exam, then you have to prepare well for "Data Analysis & Interpretation" section. This section is tougher than other sections. The cut off of this particular section is not going higher, but still you have to clear this section. SBI PO Objective Test with 2 hours duration consists of 4 Sections with 50 marks each (Total 200 marks) as follows:

1. Test of English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc.)
2. Test of General Awareness, Marketing & Computers
3. Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation
4. Test of Reasoning (High Level).

You have to clear all the sections individually and must have clear the combined score out of 200 to be eligible for Group discussion & Interview.

After objective test, descriptive test will be conducted. Descriptive test will check only when you crack the objective test. If you want to crack the SBI PO examination, then please prepare well for this exam as per the pattern, for better study you can join some good coaching institute. Keep touch with all the sections regularly, speed is very necessary to crack the online bank examination. For more details please visit the official website of SBI.

SBI PO examination is one of the most important examinations among those candidates who want to make their future in banking industry because SBI is the largest banking group in India and second thing is that it has a charm in banking which no bank can offer to an employee that is why candidates want to prefer SBI to other nationalized banks and you must prepare for SBI PO examination not because of its popularity but because of its facilities after getting into the job.

Syllabus of SBI PO examination is mentioned below : There are following subjects in the examination on which questions are asked :

01. Data Interpretation and Data Analysis - 50 questions for 50 marks

02. Reasoning Ability (High Level) - 50 questions for 50 marks

03. English Language - 50 questions for 50 marks

04. Current Affairs, Banking Awareness, Marketing and Computer - 50 questions for 50 marks.

Total 200 objective type questions for 200 marks.

As per the rules of qualifying the examination, only those candidates are declared qualified who qualifies every single subject with total required cut off marks so you must prepare well for every subject then you can easily qualify this examination.

Now its comes to front, how to get prepared for this examination so I would like to say that it needs help and first of all you have to help yourself because unless you prepare yourself for any competitive exam, you can not qualify the examination.

First of all you need to get admission in a very good and reputed coaching center that gives top level results and selections every single year and dedicated only to banking examinations so that institute's experts may guide you better than yourself.

If you will be guided from starting then you can easily choose right way if need and once you gets able to choose your ways carefully then you may select the way to success so first of all go to any good coaching and get details of the coaching such as - What is the time of batch and whether you are comfortable with that or not, what about the fee structure and duration of the course, what is the facility of practice, previous years results and ask them to let you meet with selected candidates just to get idea and guidance not to confirm.

So these things will help you in choosing a right coaching center and also get feedback of other students who are currently studying there so they may also tell you the current situation of the coaching and what can you expect and what did they receive.

Give almost 6 hours in coaching center with classes and practice test series and after that you have to dedicate about 4 hours everyday at house for practice and learning new things such as current affairs, banking, marketing and computer knowledge and also those subjects which are somewhat tough.

Focus on those subjects which are easier because if you work more on those subjects then you can get perfectness to secure higher marks in those subjects and it will be very useful to you to secure more marks in written examination as well.

Be updated with the latest current affairs and general awareness series and keep reading and learning banking and financial knowledge as much as possible because these are the scoring subjects which must be attempted accurately in a very short time and you easily can if you focus from now.

Finally I would say that practice is the only key which may guide you the success and success can only be achieved by practicing harder and harder.
