Re: How to become an IAS officer after passing 10th class
You can not become IAS officer until completed graduation course. Therefore your focus at the moment should be on completing 12th followed y graduation.
There are no easy subjects. You will have to work hard to complete 12th and graduation. You should see yourself which subjects are easy for you. I can't really tell that. However if you are still confused, take the arts subjects for 12th standard. After completing 12th you should take admission for the Bachelor of Arts course. Once you have completed that as well, you will be eligible for the Indian Administrative Service. As soon as you reach the final year of BA, start preparing for the Civil Service Examination. You should start by improving your English. Try to have more conversations in English and read english newspaper. At the same time prepare for the general studies paper by referring to NCERT text books of Class 12th. For general knowledge, watch a lot of news and keep track of every important happening in the world. For optional subjects you will have to select 2 subjects. My recommendation would be subjects that are related to your course. Generally a lot of candidates took subjects like History and Geography. Eligibility for IAS 1. Candidate should be Indian citizen. 2. A graduation degree in any discipline. 3. There is no percentage criteria. 4. The age limit is 21 to 30 years. 5. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC candidates. 6. SC/ST candidates are given 5 years relaxation. Exam Pattern 1. Preliminary Exam 2. Main Exam 3. Interview Number of Attempts 1. OBC - seven 2. SC/ST - no limit 3. General - four |
