You have not mentioned your qualification .....
To apply for Civil Service Examination , the candidate need to completed graduate degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and final year of degree course may also eligible to apply for this examination . Civil Service examination is divided into :- -------------------------------------
I am provide the list of Optional Subjects in the Main examination . The Subjects are :- ---------------------
Better Choice for Main Exam in my point of you because you have not mentioned your qualification then how can i suggest optional subjects .
Some combinations of optional subjects is not allowed to apply for Main Examination . They are :- -----------

Required Qualification to appear for UPSC
--> You should have passed Graduation degree in any specialization from recognized Institute. --> You are for civil service exam while in graduation final year. --> UPSC Civil service exam has no restriction on graduation percentage. --> Your Age should be within the limit of 21 to 23 years. --> You must be a citizen of India. UPSC Prelims Exam Syllabus 2012 Paper I - (200 marks) Duration: Two hours Current events of national and international importance History of India and Indian National Movement Indian and World Geography Indian Polity and Governance Economic and Social Development General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change General Science. Paper II- (200 marks) Duration: Two hours Comprehension Interpersonal skills including communication skills; Logical reasoning and analytical ability Decision making and problem solving General mental ability Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc.) (Class X level) Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. -Class X level) English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level). Part B - Main Examination - Optional Subjects Paper-I: One of the Indian Languages to be selected by the candidate from the 22 languages included in the VIIIth Schedule to the Constitution (Qualifying Paper)-300 Marks Paper-II: English-300 Marks Paper-III Essay[in the medium you choose]-200 Marks Papers IV & V General studies(300 Marks for each paper)-600 Marks Papers VI, VII, VIII & IX: Any two subjects (each having 2 papers) to be selected from the prescribed optional subjects (300 marks for each paper)-1200 Marks Total Marks for Written Examination: 2000 Marks List of optional subjects 1. i am engineering student my primary choice is " Public Administration "
But i am getting confused in second paper selection between "Sociology And "Psychology" and i would like select above selected subjects for Preliminary and Main exam , Kindly do needful help. |

Friend you have to chose any one optional subject according to new pattern for Civil Services.. You can chose any subject in which you have interest and which you can understand easily. should i take economics or some other subject please help me.. |
