i have completed my 12 th and im going to join bsc optometry , i want to know about its work
could u pls tell me?

B.Sc optometry (Bachelor of Science in Optometry) or Ophthalmic Optics is an under graduation course. Optometry is an health care profession which includes health of the eyes, diagnosis, problems related to visual, optical symptoms and any visual correction using lens and other treatments related to eyes.

Eligibility criteria:
- The candidate should complete their 10+2 or any equivalent education in maths/ science/ biology, physics, Chemistry from recognized board of education.

Selection process:
- Some colleges conduct entrance exams for admission and some colleges recruit students directly based on their 12th class education.

- Lens manufacturing units
- Optical shop

The salary given after completing B.Sc optometry as a fresher is around INR 4-5 lakhs per annum. As you get experience your salary increases up to INR 9-10 lakhs per annum. Some people move to the other positions after getting experience.

Can we do Optometry with 12th PCM? Some of them say it needs Biology,so i am bit confused. please reply.

I have competed my degree that is mine (Bachelor of Vocational course in Optometry technology [only 3 years course])at pondicherry university community college (I got equivalent degree certificate to B.sc(optometry) ........that course is eligibility to work in government sector. ??
