Re: How to take admission in B.Tech? What is the admission procedure?
If you have completed HSC with Science as the main subject, you can apply for B.Tech degree. Intermediate class studies must be pursued from a recognized Board and with minimum 50% marks. Besides the qualification, you must appear for certain entrance tests meant for admission to B.Tech course. There are state-level entrance exams (like MHT CET) and national level entrance tests (like AIEEE). Based on this score, you can apply for the course in different engineering colleges. Applications for this can be forwarded through the official web portal of the concerned institution. You need to appear for IIT JEE entrance exam if you are looking to do your B.Tech from IIT.

To admission in the engineering course you need pass 12th class with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the main subject. The admission is taken through the entrance examination. After completing 12th class or in the appearing of the 12th board examination you can apply for the engineering entrance examination. There are many engineering entrance examination like JEE, Wbjee, Orjee, KIITEE, VITEEE, SRMEE.... and many other. The syllabus for the engineering entrance examination is based on the 11th and 12th class syllabus. So, if you are a 12th pass candidate then you can apply for the engineering entrance examination. Do preparation well for the upcoming engineering entrance examination and got a good rank in the examination. Wish you all the best for upcoming entrance examination. |

Re: How to take admission in B.Tech? What is the admission procedure?
B.Tech stands for Bachelor of Technology. To take admission in B.Tech you will need to sit for the entrance exams. The choice would be yours on which entrance exam would you like to appear. Some of the entrance exams are:
IIT-JEE AIEEE UPSEE ISEET BITSAT Firstly you will have to choose between All India exam or the state level exam. If you want admission in NIT or IIT then you will have to appear for ISEET entrance exam. Although earlier candidates were required to appear for IIT-JEE for admission in Indian Institute of Technology and AIEEE for admission in National Institute of Technology. But the Ministry of Human Resources and Development has scrapped these two entrance exams and replaced them with the ISEET. The ISEET entrance exam would take place from next year onwards. Initially only IITs and NITs are going to accept the exam but the Minstry of Human Resources and Development plans to scrap every single entrance exam with ISEET. It is part of the theory of One Nation, One Exam. Although it could take few years as some states have reservations against the ISEET exam. There are few states who have decided to accept ISEET but only after couple of years. Therefore as for now if you want admisison in IITs or NITs then you will have to appear for ISEET. Eligibility 1. Must have completed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as the subjects. 2. At least 40 percent marks in 12th board. Apart from ISEET you have the option to appear for state level entrance exams. One example is UPSEE which is for admission in UPTU. You also have the option to appear for entrance exams for private institutes like BITSAT. The requirement in other entrance exams could be different. Although you will need to complete 12th with PCM. It is the percentage requirement which could vary from exam to exam. Another way to seek admission in B.Tech is through lateral entry. But for that you need to have either completed diploma in Engineering or bachelor of Science degree. At least 50-60 percent marks are required in either of two courses. |

To take admission in B-tech you need to have physics, chemistry and maths i.e. PCM as your subjects in 12th and also you should have at least 50% in PCM in your 12th boards. After that you need to write engineering entrance exams for different engineering colleges in India. From 2013 AIEEE and IITJEE admissions will be conducted by just one exam i.e. JEE it will be conducted in two phase : Preliminary and mains or advance. Students who will qualify prelims will be eligible to take admission in any of the ccolleges under AIEEE according to his/her rank. And also he/she will be eligible to write JEE mains or advance. If you will qualify mains then you will be eligible to take admission in IITs. Also you can write entrance exams acording to your state such as:
If you qualify these state level exams you will be eligible to take admission in the colleges under them. You can also take admission in BITs colleges after qualifying BITSAT. So you can chose which exam you want to give according to your capacity and choice of college you want to take admission. Prepare well and give your best! Good Luck! |

Re: How to take admission in B.Tech? What is the admission procedure?
Dear friend,
If you want to take admission in Engineering College and pursue a course in B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology), then you can either take Direct Admission in college or by giving Entrance Exam. For getting admission in Engineering College via Entrance Exam, you will have to appear for anyone of the following entrance exams like: >> JEE Mains (for NITs, CFIs) >> BITSAT (for BITS) >> SRMEE (for SRM University) >> Manipal Entrance Exam (for Manipal Institute of Technology) >> VITEEE (for Vellore Institute of Technology) >> UPSEE (for UPTU Affiliated Colleges) >> WBJEE (for State Engineering Colleges of West Bengal) >> MP-PET (for Madhya Pradesh Engineering Colleges) If you take admission through Direct Admission, then you will have to spend a lot money for your admission and also you may not get direct admission in Government Colleges like NITs, IITs, etc. |
