Lovely Professional University (LPU) is a private university created under the state government private university act. It offers undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate and doctoral programmes in various streams. The University offers admission to B.Tech courses for candidates who are science graduates. Such candidates can join directly to the second year of B.Tech course. Admission is made based on the marks obtained by candidates in the qualifying exam.

Admission Procedure to join B.Tech after B.Sc Computer Science

Candidates can join B.Tech programme with their Bachelor degree in Computer Science through lateral entry. The duration of the course is three years which includes six semesters. The B.Tech courses for lateral entry students will be conducted as regular programme.

Eligibility Criterion

Candidates who seek admission to B.Tech programmes through lateral entry are required to obtain a minimum of 70 % marks in aggregate in their qualifying exam. Candidates who secure at least 50 % marks in qualifying exam are also eligible to apply. Such candidates are required to appear and obtain a valid score in the common entrance exam, LPU NEAT conducted by the university.

Admission Process

Admission to B.Tech programmes through lateral entry will be on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. The duration of the entrance test is 3 hours. Candidates can expect objective type multiple choice questions from subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and General Aptitude. There will be no negative marking.

Application Procedure

Candidates can apply for the course through the official website of the University. The prescribed application form can be downloaded from the website. Fees for the admission process/ entrance exam can be paid taking a demand draft or pay order, from any bank in favour of Lovely Faculty of Technology and Sciences payable at Jalandhar. Apart from this candidates can make payment with their credit or debit cards.  Duly filled in application form along with supporting documents as well as fees payment challan or demand draft should be sent by post to the university within the stipulated time. Eligible candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their scores.
