IAS eligibility for physically handicapped
I am physically handicap to left hand finger , am i eligible for ias post ?

ELIGIBILITY FOR IAS EXAM:
Yes, you would be eligible for IAS exam if you satisfy the physical standards of the Government and only being physically challenged in fingers shouldn't be a problem. There are several relaxation given for physically challenged as well. I have attached the detailed eligibility criteria in this post for your reference. Go through it to get more information on the same. The common eligibility criteria asked for IAS exam in brief as follows, -> Candidate should have completed Graduation degree from a recognized University. -> Candidate age should be between 21 - 30 years. -> Candidate should be an Indian citizen. There is no more changes in eligibility criteria to appear in Civil Services Examination as compared to other candidates irrespective of age.
The eligibility criteria is a graduate student or in rhe final year of his graduation can apply for it.The degree must be from a recognized university. The age of the candidates should be between 21-30 years for general category students relaxation of 3 years for OBC ,5 years for SC/ST and 10 years for PHYSICALLY HANDICAP candidates. The examination is conducted in three stages as - Preliminary. Mains. Interview. I want to inform you that there is no separate examination for I.A.S .The toppers of Civil Services examination are recruited as I.A.S . |

Please note that
# Physically handicapped candidate are considered eligible for IAS Examination provided the fulfillment of other eligibility conditions. # Physically handicapped candidates availed the benefit of relaxation in upper age by 10 years in the IAS Examination. # Moreover, there is also a fixed reserved quota in number of vacancies for physically handicapped candidates. # Other eligibility conditions are as same as for other candidates. # Other required conditions for IAS Examination are: * Permanent citizen of India or Nepal or Bhutan. * Possessing any degree from recognised university. * 21-30 years of age for Open category * 21-33 years of age for OBC category. * 21-35 years for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe * 21-40 years for Physically Handicapped |
