i am physically handicapped student. i am preparing for iit-jee. i would like to know about reservation for physically challenged students in iit's . please tell me about the documents needed at the admission process? i havent given papers for 10 board through this physically handicapped students. will this cause any problem for me in getting admission further ? shall i write 12 boards paper mentioning physical handicapped? i am appearing for 12 next year. please give me true information about this.. please help me..

the reservation is upto 20% i think so by theway u can go to iit websites like iitd.ac.in & much more u can get it ok...which u want ok by the way iit provide syllabus wen ur going 2 fill up the form ok u can read in it ok take care bbyeeeeee

yes there is some reservation for the physically handicapped,so do not worry just prepare for the exam,and if your preparation will be good then your exam will be also good,so prepare well.

there are some of the seats reserved for the physically handicapped students .nearly 2% of the total seats are reserved. earlier it was 137 only.
you have to bring the original proof ,i.e certificate from the medical institution of being physically disabled.

IITs have 2% seats reserved for physically challenged people. The candidates have to produce the document proving his disability. Be prepared for the exam and try to score good marks.

about 9% seats are available for sc candidates in iit. best of luck

in IIT 3 to 4 % seat will be reserved for physically challenged students . if required no of student are not available then seat will be given to general candidate....................

There is always a provision of reservation in government engineering colleges
for Physically challenged students.
Seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and PD (Persons with
physical Disability) candidates according to the Government of India rules.

if you appear in class 12 as a physically challenged student then there is no problem.

to avail the facility for the physically challenged student you should have a original physically challenged certificate from a government medical section.

in IIT there is 2% of total number of seat is reserved for physically challenged student.

Following delails are given by IITabout handicap students:

Persons with Disability (PD)

For PD, including leprosy-cured candidates, who are otherwise fit to pursue the course, and qualify JEE with relaxed norms relevant to this category, 3% seats are reserved in each of the categories (namely, GE, OBC, SC, & ST) as specified by the Government of India.
For any category of disability (viz., locomotor, visual, dyslexia, speech, and/or hearing) benefit would be given to those who have at least 40% physical impairment.
The candidates in this category will be required to be certified by a medical board constituted by IITs during counselling. The decision of medical board is final.

You must have Certicate of handicap from govt employee and must be at least 40% handicap .

If you follow this criteria then you are eligible for this reservation.

No if someone is not 40% handicap then not eligible for PH reservation if he correct that option in application form then he will be disqualified at any stage of exam.

well friend don't worry you are very lucky person, don't ever feel something wrong about your self. oops i am making you to feel it. sorry for that.

but i must tell you in every IIT's 2 seats are reserved for you in each branch,

its total of 125 seats all over the IIT's(might get increased)

documents they want at the time of counselling if you get selected:-
1.date of birth(matriculation certificate)
2.12 passing certificate
3.PH certificate
4.caste certificate
etc

2% in the sense something around 140 seats or more than that.

Yes there are some reservation for the blind, physically challenged candidate in IITJEE. The reservation will be 15% of all seats. Also there will be 10% reservation for the SC/ST/OBC candidates.

The physically challenged candidates gets 15% reservation to get into the IITs.

there are nearly 2% seats reserved for p.h. students....and yes...prepare all your relevant documents asap..as you will have to submit them...
