If we study in Dubai till grade 10th, are we consider as an NRI?
I have been studying in Dubai for the past 6 years including grade 10th. I want to apply admission for grade 11th in India. Can I apply under normal category or am I a NRI?

NRI stands for Non-Resident Indian.NRI is an Indian citizen who has migrated to another country, a person of Indian origin who is born outside India, or a person of Indian origin who resides permanently outside India.
If the Student studies till 10th in abroad and wanted to study his 11th and 12th in India, then also he is not eligible for entrance exams under normal category. >>The student must have to complete at least minimum 4 years study in India then he is eligible for entrance exams under normal category. So, you can apply for class 11 Entrance exam in India as a NRI student. |

but the student is studying CBSE syllabus only in UAE even though it will be considerable as NRI?
