Shall I be treated as NRI candidate during HS admission if completed 10th in UAE?


Hi, I have studied from 1st standard till 10th standard in UAE. Now, I am planning to study Higher Secondary in India. I don't know whether I am local or NRI, because I belongs to India but my father and mother is working in UAE so I raised in UAE.

Any resident of India, having Indian Passport, who lived outside India for more than 182 days for Education, Residence or any other reason will be considered a Non- Resident Indian (NRI) after returning to India.

Since you have studied till class 10th in UAE, means you already lived outside the country for more than 182 days, which makes you a NRI. In this way, you will be considered a NRI student when it comes to your category.
