I am completed my bca and now i am doing my mca in IGNOU University in bca i secured 71% i am OC not sc/st if i am eligible for this slet 2016 exam after studying from IGNOU plz inform me......i want to know details

SLET is State Level Entrance Test. It is also called State Eligibility Test. Different states conduct this exam for lectureship only.

Eligibility criteria:

1. Master's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

2. Minimum percentage of marks for General category candidates is 55% and for SC/ST candidates is 50%.

3. No upper age limit and no limit on number of attempts.

You can apply for exam after completion of MCA from IGNOU.

The eligibility criteria for State Level Entrance Test:

*Post graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. Those candidates who are in final year of post graduation degree can also apply for SLET exam for Lectureship.

*The academic percentage in master's degree is 55% for general candidates and 50% for OBC and SC/ST candidates.

IGNOU MCA candidates are eligible for SLET exam but you must meet eligibility criteria mentioned above.

Yes, IGNOU MCA candidates are eligible for SLET exam 2016. Because your degree is recognized.

Educational qualification required for SLET 2016 exam is masters degree from a recognized university with above 55% marks. 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST category candidates. Final year student are also eligible for SLET exam.

There is no age criteria for SLET exam

SLET stands for State Level Eligibility Test.

To be eligible for appearing SLET Exam, you must have obtained at least 55% marks in Master course or PG course.

As you are still studying your Master course, so you are not eligible to apply for SLET Exam.

Exam Structure:
SLET exam consists of three papers.

Paper-I is based on Teaching and Research aptitude.
It will consists 60 questions of 2 marks each, in which candidate will have to answer 50 questions only.

While Paper-II and Paper-III is based on syllabus of concerned subjects.
Paper-II will contain 50 compulsory questions of 2 marks each while Paper-III will contain 75 questions of 2 marks each.

• Romantic Period
• Victorian Period
• Modern Period
• Contemporary Period
• American and other non-British Literatures

SLET is State Level Entrance Test. Different state universities conduct this exam for the post of Lectureship in government colleges. The eligibility criteria remains same for all SLET exams of different universities:

>>Candidate must have completed master's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year candidates of master's degree can also apply for SLET exam.

>>You need to secure minimum of 55% marks in master's degree. Reserved category candidates get 5% marks relaxation.

IGNOU candidates can apply for SLET exam as IGNOU is recognized institute.

IGNOU stands for Indira Gandhi National Open University. It is a central government recognized university for distance course. IGNOU degree is valid for all government jobs, entrance exams and other higher studies courses.

IGNOU MCA candidates are eligible for State Level Entrance Test. But for SLET exam, you need to secure minimum of 55% marks in master's degree. There is 5% marks degradation for reserved category candidates.
